Dive into ooey gooey combos where one fluid move effortlessly melts into another.
2.20-3.20pm: Badass Veil w/ Kaeshi Chai
Veil dancing usually conjures up images of dreamy and floaty moves. Did you know it's possible to also be a total badass with your veil? In this workshop Kaeshi will share some unusual ways to dance with a veil to bring out your dark side. Get ready to crack that whip! *Please bring a rectangular 3 yard veil. Open to dancers of all levels.
3.25-4.25pm: Bohemian Blade Sword Secrets w/ Belladonna Boheme
A sword is a powerful symbol before it even hits the stage. As dancers it is our responsibility to move with them with respect and purpose. Join Belladonna as she shares some of the key tips and tricks to her unique approach. Participants will learn technique and be introduced to concepts to help them embody the Boho Blade philosophy of Powerful, Purposeful Presentation. *Please bring a sword appropriate for bellydancing. Open to dancers of all levels.

KAESHI CHAI is a dancer, teacher, artist, designer, and percussionist based in the Bay Area and NYC. She co-founded Bellyqueen - a professional dance company and school - and PURE (Public Urban Ritual Experiment), a global community focused on healing and social change through dance and music.She is a long time daily meditator, 200-hour Yogaworks instructor, and Kane School mat pilates instructor. She developed the Bellyqueen teacher trainer curriculum and is proud member of Evolutionary Leaders, a circle of innovative thinkers (including Deepak Chopra) who have dedicated their lives and work to human and social transformation.Kaeshi has taught / performed in 47 states and 39 countries, performs with Spector Dance - a contemporary dance company based in Monterey - and is an alumni member of the Bellydance Superstars, Jillina’s Bellydance Evolution and Kenji William’s Bella Gaia. MYRA KRIEN, recipient of the 2019 Mayor's Award for Excellence in the Arts and the 2018 and 2019 Best of Santa Fe, Performing Arts, is an award-winning Middle Eastern dance artist, professional dance mentor, and international performer, choreographer and teacher of belly dance. Krien has performed on some of America's most prestigious stages, toured internationally, performed for PBS and Japanese television and been reviewed by national publications such as Dance Magazine.

Drawing inspiration from the design of nature, we apply the concepts to the body, since we are made of nature. We try to awaken forgotten senses and to make sense of the chaos that we live in.
3.30-4.30pm: Belly Baile Workshop w/ Myra Krien @ Martha Hamblin Hall
Belly Baile' is Myra Krien's signature fusion style which combines movements from Flamenco, Tango, Pomegranate Studios Improvisational Dance, Indian Temple Dance, Raks Sharqi, Jazz and Hip-Hop. This workshop will emphasize Flamenco fusion elements. Students will learn some of Myra's original Belly Baile' steps and sequences incorporating the Manton shawl and skirt work.
4.35-5.35pm: Slow and Slinky Workshop w/ Kaeshi Chai @ Martha Hamblin Hall
Slow down and get slinky with ooey gooey belly dance movements. Savor and melt your undulations, circles, figure 8s and mesmerizing arm and leg patterns into delicious sequences that will make your choreographies and/or improvisations extra juicy.

Earthy, fluid, percussive and loose "in the pocket" shimmies are a trademark of belly dance. Have you ever longed for someone to help you understand it's mechanics and give you he building blocks necessary to achieve a "sure fire" shimmy? Lucky you, Jill is infamous for her earthy shimmies and her masterful teaching style! In this class you will participate in shimmy exercises designed to help regulate your timing, and to help get rid of any glitch you may have in your hips (or your mind). You will play with up tempo and down tempo shimmies, ¾ & 4/4, traveling and stationary, layering and other exciting variations. You will focus on mechanics, planes of movement and shapes. Jill will give you tools for wiggling more excellence out of your shimmy - ready, aim, fire!

JILL PARKER is known the world over as a pioneer in the fusion and folk bellydance genres. She is a lifelong student and lover of bellydance.
Jill influenced the thriving fusion bellydance scene that flourished during the 1990's and 2000's in San Francisco. She was an original FCBD member and later founded her own professional trail blazing dance theater company that birthed many of today's great fusion dancers.
For more than three decades, Jill has honed a masterful delivery method that truly facilitates breakthroughs for dancers of all skill levels. She is a generous teacher with a rare gift for demystifying this sensuous form by meticulously and effectively breaking down complex movements to their essentials and making the technique, nuances, and fluent embodiment accessible.
Originally hailing from San Francisco, and now based in New York, Jill teaches and dances internationally offering classes, workshops, and private lessons between tour dates. She fosters and emphasizes an atmosphere of fun, well-being, and community in all of her classes.

PETE LIST is a multi-instrumentalist, primarily known for his beatboxing for Middle Eastern-influenced music. He is a member of Beatbox Guitar with Rob Mastrianni, and Djinn with Carmine Guida, and has toured various countries with these acts. His music with Djinn has featured on the Istanbul episode of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations.

ROB MASTRIANNI is a Brooklyn-born guitarist, composer, recording artist and performer. His innovative compositions and guitar style are inspired by psychedelic rock, punk rock, Flamenco and percussive finger-style techniques. He also utilizes a unique 19-string electric harp guitar, the Coral electric sitar, to create a range of exotic melodies and rhythms.
He is a founder of the musical duo Beatbox Guitar with Pete List and collaborates and tours with dancers across Europe, North America. He performs regularly in NYC as a solo act and in collaboration with other artists such as Nepali vocalist Varsha Thapa, Kat Cunning, recording artist/vocalist Mina Caputo , Thunderbird American Indian Dancers and the Baroque Burlesque Dance Theater Troupe Company XIV. Rob can be heard on albums by Beatbox Guitar, soundtracks for network TV shows, 42 Carmine Street Guitars Short Film, Bellydance instructional videos and the Showtime series,” The L Word”. When not performing Mastrianni works as an Environmental Educator and specializes in rescuing birds of prey.
