WHO: Amaria Selene has been living and working as a professional dancer in Cairo since 2018, an achievement in itself in the ever-changing Egyptian nightlife scene, especially through the pandemic years. Performing regularly for both local audiences and international visitors has given her deep, practical knowledge of the realities of the profession: the trends, the traditions, the challenges, and the constant evolution of style. She is a resident dancer on the Nile Pharaoh Cruise and performs at venues across Egypt, continually refining her musicality and stage presence in real working environments.
Her dance journey began on a military base in Augusta, Georgia, followed by her first professional engagements in Phoenix, Arizona. She later performed in New York and Washington, DC before making the leap to Cairo, where she remains today, studying, adapting, and absorbing the latest movements and aesthetics directly from the source.
Amaria is passionate about sharing what she learns on the ground in Egypt: not just steps, but the feeling, context, and performance approach that bring the dance to life.
