Trash Monster Performance Project w/ Kaeshi

WHAT: Learn a theatrical and humorous dance about a monster living in a post-apocalyptic world searching for hope. This dance will be set to the song “Celloopa” by the Piano Guys. This project will be premiered at the “Wish List” Bellyqueen School Winter Showcase Saturday December 11th 4-6pm!

WHEN: Tuesdays 9-10pm ET

Dancers can shoot their final performance video in Kaeshi’s Green Screen studio or get a 30 min private lesson over Zoom.

COST: Sliding scale pay what you can
$85, $100, $115

Includes a complimentary ticket to see the show, the cost of video editing the performance video and personal feedback of a progress video submitted half-way through the course and private 30 min lesson.

Registration ends 15 minutes before the first class. A Zoom link will be sent out 10 minutes beforehand.

WHO: KAESHI CHAI is a NYC-based performer, theatrical director, teacher trainer, and award winning designer. She co-founded the professional dance company and school, Bellyqueen, and PURE (Public Urban Ritual Experiment), a global community focused on healing and social change through dance and music. Kaeshi has extensive training in contemporary dance, physical theatre and Silk Road dances spanning the Middle East to China. She has taught or performed in 47 states and 39 countries.

She is an alumni member of the Bellydance Superstars, Jillina’s Bellydance Evolution and Kenji William’s Bella Gaia and curated the Djam NYC event for dancers and musicians to create and play together.
