Kiss Me Performance Project w/ Maki Moves

WHAT: “Kiss Me” is an intermediate level Bachata fusion choreography course taught by Maki Moves. You will have an option to participate in a collaborative performance video which will be premiered at the “Wish List” Bellyqueen Winter Showcase in December 11th 4-6pm ET 2021. Recordings of the class will be available for dancers that are unable to make it to the live session.

(No class on Halloween October 31)
Sundays 5.15-6.15pm ET


COST: Sliding scale pay what you can

Includes a complimentary ticket to see the show, the cost of video editing the performance video and personal feedback of a progress video submitted half-way through the course.

Registration ends 15 minutes before the first class. A Zoom link will be sent out 10 minutes beforehand.

WHO: Maki Moves is a dancer and performing artist who relocated to New York city in 2012 from Nagoya, Japan. She has a background in hip hop, Cuban Salsa, Reggaeton, Egyptian belly dance and Tribal Fusion. She is one of the principal dancers and instructors of Sahara Layla from the Hermes Dance Company and has trained in the Bellyqueen style since 2005. Maki Moves has performed in NYC, Japan, Australia and Thailand and has taken respected Teacher Training programs led by Tamalyn Dallal and Bellyqueen. She was a competition winner with Bellydance Evolution in Sydney, Australia and was selected as the very first belly dance choreographer to be showcased at the prestigious 2014 7th Annual Choreographer’s Canvas in NYC.
