Tamalyn Dallal returns to NYC to teach a Teacher's Training weekend intensive plus distinguishing between many Egyptian bellydance styles from different regions and eras. Her workshops are sold out. There is still space to see the show though.

Diana Susanto (fashion designer, costume maker and FIT graduate) will patiently guide you through how to select fabrics and beads, embellish a bra and belt and create pants, skirt and accessories that will flatter YOUR body type. Download flyer.
Saturday July 25 at the Garment District
11am-1pm Brainstorm Meeting (over brunch). Bring your ideas. Perhaps you have a belt that you need a matching bra for, or some great fabric that you have been saving for THIS moment.
1pm-4pm Shop til you drop! We will visit fabric, trim & bead shops to gather supplies for your beautiful costume.
Saturday August 1st
11am-2pm Making the costume Day 1 Part 1. Covering the bra. (3 hours)
2-3pm Lunch at an amazing restaurant.
3-8pm Creating a hip belt. Closures. Making the costume Day 1 Part 2 (5 hours).
8-9.30pm Dinner (At NYC's best Thai restaurant!)
 Sunday August 2nd
11am-2pm Making the costume Day 2 Part 1. Creating a skirt, and accessories gloves, bracelets. (3 hours)
2-3pm Lunch at an amazing restaurant.
3-6pm Making the costume Day 2 Part 2. Creating pants. (3 hours)

Who is Diana Susanto? A life long dancer, Diana discovered her passion for sewing and creating her own clothing at the age of 15. After finishing high school in Germany , she decided to make her hobby into her profession. Diana started her way in fashion with an apprenticeship as a couture dressmaker at the State Theater in her hometown, Karlsruhe . In 2005 Diana moved to New York to study at Parsons New School for one year and then continued her fashion studies at Fashion Institute of Technology and graduated in May 2009 with an Award of honor.
